Las demás cosas me parecieron intresantes y muy profesionales, pero no me gustaron demasiado.
Merzbow: es bueno, no me parece que noise sea el nombre mas adecuado para esta música; aunque hecha en base a sonidos fuertes, la estructura es lo que predomina (merzbow hace referencia a una especie de casa creada por Schwitters, pero esta casa se sostiene tanto como la música de merzbow, no vuela por los aires; Schwitters hizo también collages, cuya transcripción musical serían ruidos cortados a bisel, pero Merzbow no tiene nada que ver con esto); en mi opinión el elemento estructural al darle consistencia a su música es también un problema, su música se vuelve una amenaza o catástrofe permanente lo cual en el terreno de sonidos me parece muy artificial, aunque la idea de una música ambiental no placentera es interesante (es como música de accidente de avión en contraposición a la música de aeropuertos de Eno que dió origen a lo ambiental). La ejecución es excelente, estaré atento a las cosas que hace, pero no estoy muy convencido del mensaje.

Boredoms: cerró y era lo que la gente más quería ver (y se fueron satisfechos), 1 hora (los más largos). Desafortunadamente fue lo que esperaba al leer unas críticas: se han volcado al kraut. No lo hacen mal pero el kraut murió hace 30 años! El kraut, aun siendo árido, a mi me resulta divertido, pero en este caso no lo fue para mi - aunque puede deberse en parte a que el ruido acumulado hizo al final mella en mí, pese a los tapones que llevé todo el tiempo.
Amm: buena música experimental, creo que en la mejor tradición experimental que se les conoce (piano, percusión y mesa electrónica), el problema aquí soy yo que, aun reconociendo la calidad de esta música, no puedo disfrutarla tanto como en otros tiempos - añadiría que suena un poco deja vu, podría haber sido hecha en los 60s cuando Stockhausen y el free jazz eran la última moda.
Ikeda: me pareció demasiado tecno, sin serlo totalmente ya que lo mezclaba con elementos y tratamientos experimentales.

Infamous for their much debated, taboo-blasting lyrics,
[spine-chillingly dramatic and involving/ sneering indictments that have recently
developing a degree of complexity and intellectualised psychological probing], they
remain utterly dedicated to what they do, still displaying a readiness to
experiment and re-birth their core palette of explorations into
unchallengeable sonic extremes, electronic noise and feedback.
Whitehouse remain an oft-misunderstood group, but one that deserves a wider
audience. Here's your chance.

And manic post punk explosion that is The Boredoms, who with their layers
Of bombastic guitar noise, insane bursts of tape manipulation and the wax
And wane of desperate screams and urgent percussion, are surely the most
urgently experimental avant-rock act currently recording.
Merzbow (Japan)
First ever Scottish performance from Masami Akita's behemothic noise
project. Merzbow is the godfather of noise music, whose influence can
be traced across huge swathes of contemporary music from death metal to
experimental electronica and most points between.
AMM (UK)
In our opinion, AMM's music could be considered the primer for all
'experimental' music. Keith Rowe, John Tilbury and Eddie Prevost have
undoubtedly been the most important contributors to the UK free improv
scene for nearly 40 years and we are extremely proud to be able to be working
with such distinguished musicians who still rarely play live in the UK.
CCI Sound System [Ryoji Ikeda] (Japan)
Ikeda returns to Instal for the world première of CCI Sound system. A
performance in which his new phase shifting sine wave aggression will
be mixed and distorted through two huge PA's, one a precise Meyer system,
the other a huge wall of Marshall amps!
Cosmos: Sachiko M & Ami Yoshida (Japan)
This performance will be a UK Premiere by the most recent winners of a
Golden Nica. Using an "empty" tone generating sampler Sachiko has
Developed and pushed vocalist Ami into an utterly unique collaboration, resulting
In abstract vocalizations that rival the extremity of sound that Sachiko
Coaxes from the pulsing, piercing sine-waves of her electronics.
Vibracathedral Orchestra (UK)
Veterans of the psych-infused UK free noise scene, the Vibracathedral
Orchestra specialise in dreamy phase patterns, stratospheric noise, and
vaguely rockish hypno-drone, made up of squealing Egyptian reeds, drum
circle grooves, random sustained notes on a cheap Casio, hazy electric
guitar distortion, flanging sitars and lots of acoustic guitar
strum'n'scrape.
Paragon Ensemble (UK)
Paragon return with computerised mayhem and a pile of Glasgow's finest
laptop jockeys in tow.
